Some links to books and courses on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you — the price you pay is the same.

Where you will see them

Every affiliate link carries a visible label at the point of the link. You never have to guess. They also carry rel="sponsored nofollow", so search engines are told too.

The programmes we take part in are Amazon Associates, and potentially Udemy, Coursera and A Cloud Guru as our library grows. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. An Amazon link may route you to your regional Amazon store.

What a commission does not buy

• We recommend on merit. The affiliate relationship is a consequence of recommending something good, never the reason for recommending it.
• Free alternatives come first. Where the same material is available free, we say so and link it first. Several books in our library are published free by their own authors.
• A hard cap of three paid recommendations per roadmap phase or lesson. This is enforced by the build: exceed it and the site fails to publish.
• Every affiliate link must carry a disclosure, and this is checked automatically. A link without one fails the build rather than reaching you. That is a schema, not a good intention.
• No vendor pays for placement, for a review, or for a ranking position. No vendor sees content before it is published.

Prices and availability change. The retailer's page is authoritative, not ours.

Data

We share no personal data with retailers. A click is recorded as an anonymous resource_click analytics event so we can tell whether a recommendation was useful — see the Privacy Policy. Once you land on the retailer's site, their cookies and their privacy policy apply, not ours.

You are never required to use our link. Searching the retailer directly costs you nothing and works exactly the same.

Why we do it

Commissions, together with the courses we sell, are what keep every roadmap free and the site free of advertising. We never earn a commission on our own courses — those are sold directly, and a link to one is never an affiliate link.

That separation is the point of this page. A recommendation earns us money only when it sends you somewhere else; a recommendation of our own material earns us money only if you decide to buy it, and it is labelled as ours wherever it appears.
